Problemes de Connection - 'Could not connect to mail server'

MailStart.Com utilise toutes les combinaisons possibles de votre POP serveur. IL se peut malheureusement que ces combinaisons ne soient pas fructueuses. Dans ce cas, un formulaire vous est presente afin d'apporter un maximum de precisions. Ces informations peuvent etre obtenues par l'Administrateur de votre Reseau.

L'Erreur peut aussi etre due a votre serveur inoperant ou a un trafic Internet trop lourd. Il est bon de reessayer ulterieurement.

Reconnaissance des Problemes - 'Could not login to mail server'

After connecting to your POP3 server, the MailStart.Com computers present your username (extracted from your email address in the form username@domain.com) and password to begin the mail transaction. If there is a problem at this stage it usually stems from an improper password. Try returning to the MailStart.Com home page and retyping your email address and password.

The second most common cause is that your email address is not the same as your POP3 username. This is most common in a university or other large organization. You may have a signup or username that is a series of letters and numbers, and a email alias that is more meaningful. In this case, use your login/user name in place of your email address in the first page, i.e. loginname@domain.com.

As with most other errors, this can also be due to a down mail server, or other internet related communication problem, if you think your password and username are correct, simply try again in a minute or to.

Sendmail Problems

The most common cause of problems in sending mail is improper address information, either in the TO or CC fields. Check for any extraneous information such as a persons full name, some email packages include this in the return address and it may be problematic if used to send email. The email address user@domain.com is valid alone, but is invalid if combined with additional text such as user@domain.com (Jim User). To prevent loss of important address information, the MailStart.Com computers do not attempt to alter addresses but rather return an error message and allow you to modify the address.
